We started out at Panera Bread in Denton. We had a good group of people show for our DFWA North Texas (Hanging) Tour as we caravaned up North to Gainesville. It was a hot day but a cooler of ice cold lemonade helped fight away the heat. It was a fun group and Kate was a big help with keeping the group together on the road. Our stops included The Cauble Ranch, Camp Howze, Rumpy's, Site of the Gainesville Hangings, Old Santa Fe Train Depot, Henry O. Flipper (Buffalo Soldier) Historical Marker, Lindsay St. Peter's Cathedral and had a German Dinner at The Center afterward stopping by Fischer's Meat Market before the country drive home. The groups said one of the highlights of the trip was the St. Peter's Cathedral which is tucked away in a small country town. It was a surprise finding that we could see the inside and the beautiful works of art. Following are some of the beautiful photos that participants took along the way.
